What this site
does with your data.

Short version: this site collects nothing until you choose to contact me. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no cookies used to follow you anywhere.

If you use the contact form

The name, email address and message you type are sent to my inbox by email, and nothing else happens to them. They are not added to a mailing list, not shared, and not sold. Your email address is used to reply to you.

If you talk to the AI assistant

The assistant is a real language model, so your messages leave this site to be processed. Concretely:

  • Anthropic processes the conversation to generate replies. It is not used to train their models.
  • Upstash stores the conversation on a server so the assistant can remember what you said earlier. It is deleted automatically — see "How long I keep things" below.
  • Cloudflare runs a bot check on the first message only.
  • Resend delivers the resulting message to my inbox.

If you give the assistant your name and email, it sends me the conversation along with them — that is the whole point of it. It will do this even if you leave mid-conversation, so that a message you started does not vanish. If you would rather that did not happen, use the form instead: it only sends when you press send.

What is stored in your browser

The assistant keeps your conversation in sessionStorage so it survives a page reload. That is not a cookie, it never leaves your device, and your browser discards it when you close the tab.

How long I keep things

A conversation where you did not leave contact details is deleted automatically 24 hours after your last message.

If you did leave a name or an email and the message had not been sent to me yet, that conversation is kept for up to 7 days instead. That is the window in which a scheduled job delivers it to me, so a message you started does not disappear because you closed the tab. Once it has been delivered, or once the 7 days are up, it is deleted.

Emails that reach my inbox I keep for as long as the conversation is useful — if we end up working together, that may be a while; if not, I delete them.

Please do not send secrets

Do not put passwords, API keys, card numbers or anything similar into the chat or the form. Neither is built to carry that kind of information, and the assistant is instructed to refuse it.

Your data, your call

Write to ebgueny.dev@gmail.com and I will tell you exactly what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No form to fill in and no reason required. If you are in the EU or the UK, that is your right under the GDPR; as far as I am concerned it is just the reasonable thing to do.
